Ah, how you love those tantalizing escargots, that mouth-watering lobster Thermidor, and those elegant, smooth-tasting chocolate mousse desserts. You're a sophisticated epicurean and a connoisseur of fine food and wines, and you're proud of it. Gourmet is your type of magazine, because it touts the wonders of fine dining, elegant table settings, wines and spirits, culture and history, and shopping and travel.

    What's that Smell?, March 23, 2007
Reviewer: Perfume Odor
I love Gourmet Magazine. At least I did. My disappointment came as soon as I removed the plastic cover from my new issue. I was immediately enveloped by the aroma of a perfume ad that so irritated my allergies that the magazine may now be useless to me. Am I the only one that must be careful what magazines I attempt to read because perfume ads choke me so bad I cannot breathe? I think not.
I would think a cooking magazine would want it's customers to bring the wonderful smells of cooking into their homes and leave the perfume ads to the fashion magazines. As it stands, I'm not sure I will be able to air out the magazine enough to peruse the usual wonderful recipes that awaited me in the past. If that is true, it will be a sad loss for this customer.

This is the best magazine to have around if you want to impress your friends with amazing food! It's also great to have on the coffee table.
